A NOTE FOR THOSE WHO RECEIVE THIS SERVICE BY E-MAIL
There are many of you who receive “Saint Eugene speaks to us” by email. I would just like to remind you that the original is published every day on the website www.eugenedemazenod.net
I invite you to consult it occasionally on the website itself:
-
The formatting is clearer and it is easier to read
-
Some of the readers post comments on the entries, which are always interesting
-
It would be so much appreciated if you occasionally posted a reflection in the comments section.
-
All the daily reflections over three years are available to be consulted – there are 860 online
-
There is a search engine in the site for any themes that you may be interested to find out more about or to find a quotation from St Eugene.
-
There is also a link to a short biography of Saint Eugene and to some prayers
Frank, your reflections bring Saint Eugene to life, offering us the opportunity to come to know him, the early Oblates and a way of living in a real and personal way. Truly they are “A father’s communication with his many children…” For many of us, these sharings offer a focus for our lives, a daily starting point from which our days are launched and they become a part of daily prayer life. We come to know and realise more about our personal relationships with God at the same time as learning more about Saint Eugene, the Oblates, about a very specific way of living and being and hopefully about ourselves. Daily nourishment.
Thank you Frank!
Yes, thank you Frank… And other readers! Take the challenge and post…. PLEASE!
Frank, I am hardly a “tweet” person! However, a great big thank you for your dedication to the daily reflections on St. Eugene’s life and spirit which sets my own heart on fire! As Tesco says “every little helps”… you do that in more ways than one. God bless. Kirk
Thanks Frank. I read your posts every morning at 6am and comeback later in the day to read other’s comments.
As you and many of my Oblate and associate friends know, like Ron Rolheiser, from the get-go I was not a huge admirer of Eugene himself; it was the mission that attracted me.
However over the years, due mainly to your posts, I have come to respect, admire, and I dare say even love the man, the saint, our founder, our guide.
I do post occasionally but only if something REALLY inspires (or annoys) me…lol.
